Ruth Netzley is a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator specializing in Plastic Surgery. With over a decade of experience, she has honed her skills in patient communication, ethics, healthcare operations and administration. Her expertise in these areas led her to specialize in Plastic Surgery where the need for detailed care coordination is paramount.

As a Patient Care Coordinator, Ruth is the primary contact for patients, guiding them through every step of their surgical experience from initial consultation to post-operative follow ups. She collaborates closely with the surgeons, nurses and the rest of the medical staff to customize care plans that address each patient’s unique needs. Ruth’s empathetic approach and attention to detail have earned her the trust and admiration of patients and colleagues. She is known for her ability to listen to Patient’s concerns, provide reassurance, and ensure they feel supported throughout the entire process.

Ruth’s dedicated to excellence in patient coordinating, coupled with her deep understanding of the plastic surgery field, makes her an invaluable asset to the practice and a trusted advocate for patients. Ruth was born in Australia but has lived most her life in San Diego. She was a four year collegiate cheerleader at San Diego State University. In Ruth’s free time she loves running and being active. She enjoys being with her husband and 2 sons and attending many Padre baseball and Aztec basketball games. Ruth enjoys traveling and hanging out with her girlfriends as well as supporting her favorite charities, Feeding San Diego, Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and a Bridge for Kids.

Katie Page, R.N. joined the staff of Changes Plastic Surgery & Spa in November 2007 and works closely with Dr. Lee. In addition to assisting Dr. Lee in surgical procedures, she has also perfected her abilities with the latest cosmetic techniques under his direction.

After earning her associate's degree from Palomar College over ten years ago, Katie began her nursing career working in the emergency room of Palomar Hospital. In addition to her time given at Changes Plastic Surgery, she still works two days a week at Palomar Emergency.

Katie is certified in all aesthetic lasers and injectable treatments offered at Changes Plastic Surgery & Spa. She can expertly assess your condition, learn about your desired improvements, and recommend the most appropriate treatment for you. Katie is also well-versed in skincare and can assist you with the development of an effective skincare regimen. Katie’s calm and gentle manner, coupled with her extensive nursing experience, ensure that you are not only in the most capable hands but also the most caring.

Brenda Van Loggem

Registered Nurse Practitioner, M.S.N.

Brenda van Loggem, M.S.N., R.N.P. brings over 20 years of experience and a deep passion for aesthetic medicine to our practice. She is a certified Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Age Management and Regenerative Medicine. Brenda graduated with her Master’s degree in Adult and Geriatric nursing from Columbia University, NY, and went on to receive a post-masters degree in Holistic Nursing from the College of New Rochelle, NY. Her interest and curiosity in the evolving science of anti-aging therapy led her to this career path. Brenda is sought after for her talent in the field of aesthetic medicine, where she has the ability to transform medicine into artistry. Given her experience training other practitioners in the art of aesthetics, she is very knowledgeable about the vast assortment of treatments and innovative products we offer.

Brenda is a nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in aesthetic medicine. She has been a valuable member of the Changes team and now has increased our ability to accommodate an ever-growing patient base. She is a leader in aesthetic medicine, lasers, and injectables Meeting Brenda makes it apparent that she truly enjoys her job and cares deeply for her patients, providing them with the highest possible standard of care and a safety-first approach.

Chanee is a licensed aesthetician who specializes in medical aesthetics and an educator dedicated to providing exceptional service, using professional quality products to create your healthiest skin and the most confident you! The biggest goal she would like to achieve for all her clients is to give them the confidence to be in their skin and educate them to the fullest. Every treatment with her is results-driven and performed with relaxation in mind. With over 19 years of experience working and teaching aesthetics, she has mastered the art of skincare. She looks forward to getting to know you and your skincare needs.

Registered Nurse

Alex started as an RN at Changes Plastic Surgery in 2023. She started her nursing career working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Colorado. She has a bachelor’s degree in child and adolescent development from the University of Nebraska and a minor in culinary arts from her time abroad in Italy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing back home at the University of Colorado Anschutz. The military brought her Fiancé to San Diego and ultimately brought her there, as well. She became a nurse simply out of a desire to better serve people; It’s an outlet to provide care and compassion where it can so often be lacking. Her hobbies include cooking, travel, surfing, and snowboarding.

Rachel joined the Changes Plastic Surgery team in July 2024 as their newest addition to the clinical staff. Her role as a medical assistant at Changes encompasses everything she loves: beauty, medicine, and most of all patient care. With a background as a licensed esthetician working in various medical spas, she eventually made her way to the operating room at the hospital for further experience in providing quality patient care. Rachel has always desired a career in plastic surgery as she admires the uniqueness and versatility of the field, but most importantly she loves supporting patients through their aesthetic journey. Her dream is to become a registered nurse, and she could not have asked for a better environment than Changes to be in while she works towards pursing this goal. In per personal life, Rachel enjoys spending time with family and friends, Pilates, finding cute brunch spots, and of course her adorable kitten Lola!

On a professional level, she aims to foster a supportive and nurturing environment within our practice, where patients feel valued, heard, and empowered throughout their aesthetic journeys. On a personal level, she is committed to maintaining a healthy work-life balance and nurturing her relationships with family and friends. She seeks to cultivate a sense of fulfillment outside of work by pursuing her passions and hobbies, which include going to the beach, exploring San Diego, trying unique restaurants, and spending time with her son, Asher. She believes that finding joy and inspiration outside of the operating room is essential for personal growth and well-being.

Kaydee O’Neill, P.A.-C. graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1994. After working for a year at the Santa Barbara Medical Clinic as a medical assistant, Kaydee headed east to attend the State University of New York at Stony Brook with the goal of becoming a Physician Assistant. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, passing the boards and receiving her certification as a Physician Assistant in 1997. Kaydee worked in adult cardiac surgery for Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco and New York Hospital-Cornell before settling in San Diego. She was working in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Rady Children’s Hospital when she met Dr. Gilbert Lee. In 2002, she left the cardiac world and began her association as Dr. Lee’s surgical assistant, devoting all her energy to Dr. Lee and plastic surgery.

Samantha, a native of Vail, CO, is a seasoned marketer with over a decade of experience across diverse industries. After attending the University of Northern Colorado for Marketing, Samantha packed up and moved to beautiful San Diego, CA in 2008 and has since carved a successful career path. Currently serving as the Marketing Director for Changes Plastic Surgery & Spa since 2018, Samantha combines her expertise with her passion for the medical and plastic surgery field.

Her journey in marketing has been dynamic, spanning lifestyle and entertainment, hotel and restaurant, print and online news media, real estate, affiliate, and banking industries, before finding her niche in medical marketing. Samantha’s dedication to continuous growth extends beyond her professional life. While she aspires to further her knowledge and skills in the medical field, her personal goal is to expand her family.

Outside of work, Samantha finds joy in snowboarding, skiing, cooking, and traveling, embracing the adventures both on and off the slopes. With her blend of experience, ambition, and zest for life, Samantha continues to make impactful strides in her career while cherishing life’s simple pleasures.

Caitlin grew up in Orange County, California, spending most of her time playing soccer, running sprints for track and field, and spending time at the beach with friends. She attended Arizona State University for college. After graduating with a degree in Communications, she started her career in medical sales. She enjoyed it, but when a plastic surgery practice posted a position for a Patient Care Coordinator, she jumped at the chance! She has always had a passion for the aesthetics industry (as a previous patient herself), and she felt she was made for the role. She dove right in and learned all she could. It was the perfect blend of sales and patient care. After three years, Caitlin was recruited to help open and manage a medspa practice. She spent several years growing the business. It was a great opportunity to gain knowledge about other aspects of the industry. In 2022, she was introduced to the doctors at Changes and immediately knew this was where she was meant to be for the long term. Thanks to her extensive experience, she was hired as a Surgical Patient Care Coordinator and Medspa Manager. She loves getting to know patients, walking them through their surgical journeys, and working alongside the most experienced, talented surgeons! In her free time, she likes attending Pilates classes, riding her Peloton, and playing with her Puggle Daisy On the weekends, she enjoys hiking and then rewarding herself with brunch and maybe a little tequila 😉!
