How does it work?
Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler. Hyaluronic Acid is the soft, elastic component of cartilage. In a gel form, Juvederm is injected below the skin to fill hollowing from fat and collagen loss that naturally occurs with aging. The filler gives an immediate fullness to the area injected. The filler will last up to a year before being reabsorbed by your body. A safety benefit of Juvederm is that its effects can be reversed by an enzyme, returning you to your original state.
What does it treat?
Juvederm can treat fine lines and wrinkles anywhere on the face. Among the most common areas are the nasolabial folds (lines between the nostrils and the corners of your mouth). Second to the eyes, the mouth is often the center of attention. It is also particularly exposed to aging.
